Get Involved

You can get involved in the Louisiana Science Teachers Association by:

joining LSTA or renewing your membership
serving as a leader on the LSTA 2024-2026 Board
attending or presenting at the annual conference
submitting science education articles or events for e-blasts, the LASER (newsletter) and the website
emailing comments about what you would like to see on the website

LSTA is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.

Submit Articles and Events

If you have grants, workshops or resources to share with other science educators in Louisiana please send a newsletter-ready "blurb" to Jean May-Brett at jam05@bellsouth.net and Stephen Knight (stephen_knight@saintmartinschools.org). Attachments will not be sent with the e-blast but may be posted to the LSTA website and calendar.

If you have news to share about science education events, teacher or student awards, etc. at your school or organization in Louisiana, please email your regional representative so we can include the news item in the next issue of the LASER...photos are encouraged!

If you have general science education news that should be shared with other educators in Louisiana, feel free to email the LASER editor, Stephen Knight (stephen_knight@saintmartinschools.org), with an original article.

If you have an upcoming science education event that you would like posted to our calendar, you can email any of the above mentioned folks as well.
